Dentist Denver A case in progress Denver Dentist
The following is a case in progress in our office. Basically the
orthodontics if finished and we are planning on either some type of
dental bonding or
dental veneers.
These are actual cases that Dr's DeLapp have completed or are in the process of completing. The following case is a good example of the fact that it may take several different dental disciplines in order to get the result we seek.

This case shows the remarkable nature of
orthodontics. The space between the front
teeth was excessive and there is no way that our
Denver Dentists could improve the
esthetics. The reason for the wide gap (
diastema) is a
frenum attachment between the front teeth. The
frenum is very fibrous tissue that can keep teeth apart. The teeth will stay apart until this tissue is removed. One of the first steps in this case was to remove the
frenum attachment.
Stage 2 Orthodontic Denver DentistThe Second stage was for the
orthodontist to approximate the two front teeth. This took a couple of years to get accomplished and the outcome was very good.
Stage three Dental veneers or dental bonding Denver Dentist (pending)The last stage our
Denver Dentist and patient is looking at is one of the following:
- No treatment leave as is ( a much better result than the before!)
- Teeth whitening or teeth bleaching only (for a brighter smile)
- Dental filling to fix the broken tooth on #9 patients left central incisor
- Dental bonding to fix the broken tooth#9 and add to the worn tooth #8 patients right central incisor
- Dental veneers and dental whitening to align both front teeth
Each of these options has their pluses and minuses. Cost may be the deciding factor. As far as anticipated
longevity the
dental veneers on most patients is the longest lasting service. The issue is this is the greater economic investment (dental veneers cost more).
